As rated by the 247Sports composite rankings, Okeke was a 4-star prospect for the Class of 2015. A Nigerian native, he played high school football at Faith Baptist Christian Academy in Ludowici, Ga.
At one time, Okeke was ranked as high as the No. 2 offensive tackle nationally and the No. 22 overall prospect in his signing class. As revealed in his LSU biography, he redshirted as a freshman in 2015 and did not play organized football until 2013.
