Leonard Fournette really, really wants to put on pads.
Already, it has been a strange Saturday in the LSU-Florida game. There was the news that Fournette, LSU’s skilled running back, was expected to miss the contest Saturday at Tiger Stadium because of an ankle issue. Then there was the pregame scuffle between the Tigers and Gators on the field.
Now it appears Fournette will at least suit up for the game after being shoved in the incident.
As relayed by The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger, SEC Network’s SEC Nation reported that Fournette was not expected to play. But after being involved in the scuffle, the player asked LSU interim coach Ed Orgeron if he could suit up.

It’s unknown if Fournette will play. But it’s quite a development that the running back has come out in pads at all.
Fournette has 803 yards and 8 touchdowns on 117 carries this season. Florida can win the SEC East by beating LSU on Saturday.
