Thursday afternoon, LSU lost out on a potential late grab when Travis Etienne picked the other Tigers, selecting Clemson instead.
Etienne didn’t leave it at that, though. During his commitment, he took a parting shot at LSU, calling Clemson “the real Death Valley.”
Almost immediately after the announcement, Derek Ponamsky, special assistant to Ed Orgeron, responded via Twitter and didn’t need any words to do so.

Former LSU running back Jacob Hester also felt slighted by the comment and decided to fire back by pointing out that LSU’s Death Valley has a higher seating capacity than that of Clemson in his own, simple tweet.
