Ricky Jean Francois reportedly has a new NFL home.
As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday, the former LSU defensive tackle has signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Green Bay Packers. Jean Francois, who had five sacks with the Tigers from 2006-08, spent the past two seasons with the Washington Redskins.

This will be Jean Francois’ fourth NFL team. He entered the league as a seventh-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2009. He was with San Francisco from 2010-12 before stints with the Indianapolis Colts (2013-14) and Redskins.
Jean Francois had a career-high 32 tackles and 1.5 sacks with Washington last season. He had a career-high three sacks with the Colts in 2014.
Jean Francois became a force at LSU, where he had 54 tackles. He had a career-high 25 tackles with 3 sacks in 2006.
It will be interesting to see how Jean Francois does in Green Bay. He could become a valuable veteran addition for the Packers, who went 10-6 with an appearance in the NFC Championship Game last season. Green Bay lost to the Atlanta Falcons, who blew a 25-point lead against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
