BATON ROUGE, La. –It won’t be long until LSU middle linebacker Kendell Beckwith returns to the practice field.
The standout rising senior defender is expected to practice when the team returns from spring break on March 29, coach Les Miles said on Thursday.
Miles indicated the knee injury is not serious, but the team is being cautious with it and Beckwith should be fine with the added time off.
“Oh yeah, he could play,” Miles said of Beckwith on Thursday. “He’ll take spring break, come back and be fine.”
Beckwith sustained a knee injury during LSU’s second spring practice session on March 11. However, the MRI results on the knee came back negative.
The senior has sat out the past three spring practices and will receive an extra week’s worth of time off as the team enjoys its spring break.
The Tigers’ next day of spring practice is scheduled for Tuesday, March 29, and Beckwith is expected to participate.
