ESPN analyst Todd McShay has added his name to a long list (mostly LSU fans) of people who believe LSU coach Les Miles ought to quickly turn the page on his quarterback situation from junior Brandon Harris to another option.
This isn’t just another football guy sounding off in the middle of the week trying to bump up his Twitter following. McShay is one of the most respected analysts when it comes to evaluating college football talent while it’s still in the college game as well as players attempting to move on to the pros.
Todd McShay: "I would move on from Harris. This is a great week to do it vs. JSU. Danny Etling is the backup, see what he can do." #LSU

Harris did not play well as a passer in the Tigers’ season-opening loss to Wisconsin last week allowing the Badgers to focus more attention on stopping running back Leonard Fournette. LSU produced just 257 yards of total offense and had the ball for only 23 minutes, 3 seconds.
Fellow junior Danny Etling could be called on if Harris shows any sign of struggling again this week against Jacksonville State or in the near future. Harris has a history of inconsistency in his career, but many expected him to be better as a junior. That didn’t materialize at all in the season opener and it might only be a matter of time before Miles has to make a change.
