The grass is always tastier at Tiger Stadium.
LSU coach Les Miles was asked during the weekly SEC teleconference Wednesday about the taste and texture of the grass at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. But, just like a fine wine, Miles said nothing compares to the grass at his home stadium in Baton Rouge, La.
“I have to be very honest,” Miles said as if he was telling a deep, dark secret. “I’ve enjoyed the grass in Baton Rouge much more. It’s kind of a home field.”
Everybody says nothing’s better than their mother’s cooking. Miles felt the same way about the Tiger Stadium turf. Miles did give credit to Alabama for having delightful grass as well.
“They take great care of their grass in Tuscaloosa, too,” Miles said. “I’ll certainly have to figure that one out once I get there.”
Keep an eye out for Miles’ latest review on the taste and texture of the Bryant-Denny Stadium grass on Yelp later this weekend.
