A lot of guys like to talk about their weight lifting prowess in the offseason. But LSU defensive end Lewis Neal is actually showing people how it’s done.
Neal, a 6-foot-2, 264-pound defensive end, set a new school record in the power clean, as he posted a video of him lifting an absurd 391 pounds.

Neal led the Tigers in sacks last season with 8.0 and also racked up 58 tackles and 11.5 for loss. Despite Neal’s efforts, the senior defensive end did not land any of the All-SEC preseason teams. Two of his teammates, Davon Godchaux and Arden Key, both made the team, despite finishing with fewer sacks than Neal did last season. Neal finished tied for sixth in the conference in sacks last year.
And if his weightlifting prowess translates to the field, he could have an even better season.
