Former LSU players are used to making plays in the NFL. And rookie linebacker Deion Jones is continuing that trend.
Jones, who was taken in the second round by the Atlanta Falcons, hauled in his team-leading third interception of the season when he snared an errant pass from the Los Angeles Rams’ Jared Goff in the second quarter. And once he got his hands on the ball, he took it all the way back for 6 points to give the Falcons a 21-0 lead.
The play was also Jones’ second pick-6 of the year, as he had one in Week 3 against New Orleans.
Jones is the latest young LSU player to stand out in the NFL, joining the likes of Kwon Alexander and Danielle Hunter as promising young players.
Jones’ Tigers take on Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson and Louisville in the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31.
