How much is Leonard Fournette risking his future by playing college football?
Sure, it’s great to watch the bruising LSU running back rip through defenses. And it’s tantalizing to consider what his potential can be this year. After all, the Heisman Trophy appears to be a possibility for him if he has a monster season and lifts LSU to a memorable run in the coming months.
But some think it’s risky if he sees another snap on Saturdays.
On Tuesday, Fournette sustained an ankle sprain, and he’s using a walking boot to heal. FOX Sports’ Nick Wright touched on the subject and said Fournette should move past college football.

It’s easy to understand Wright’s point, given Fournette’s NFL potential. Still, from an LSU fan’s perspective, it would be a bad development to see such a dynamic talent stay away from the field on Saturdays.
Tigers fans, and observers who love elite college football performances, should root for Fournette to stay healthy.
