Jamal Adams and the LSU defense got off to a great start against Alabama.
After the Tigers forced Alabama freshman Jalen Hurts out of the pocket, Adams made a diving interception to give LSU great field position. Tiger Stadium erupted after the pick.
The Tigers missed a field goal on the ensuing drive, but it was still a great start. Adams’ interception was the first by LSU against Alabama dating to 2011, when Eric Reid famously snared a Crimson Tide pass at the 1-yard line.
It was Adams’ first interception of the season. The junior defensive back did have a fumble recovery earlier in the season.
The Tigers and Crimson Tide are playing on CBS.
