BATON ROUGE, La. — Jamal Adams is a difference maker.
LSU’s junior safety cemented that fact in the third quarter by delivering a crushing blow to the Southern Mississippi ball-carrier, stripping the ball and then recovering it.
Adams’ momentum-changing play set up running back Derrius Guice for a 20-yard touchdown, his second score for the Tigers in the first 4:10 of the second half.
It was Adams’ first forced fumble or fumble recovery of the season.
