LSU’s loss to Florida on Tuesday night led to a tough goodbye for Cole Freeman.
The Tigers infielder spoke shortly after LSU’s season ended with a loss to Florida in the College World Series finals in Omaha, Neb. As you can see in the clip below from WBRZ’s Brandon Saho, Freeman fought through tears to express his thoughts after the Tigers’ tough loss.

This is a tough way to go, but you have to respect the pure emotion shown in that clip.
Beyond Freeman’s thoughts, you can see the player exchange hugs with teammates in the clubhouse. The senior from Mandeville, La., understood the weight of the moment.
No, that time wasn’t easy. But perhaps he’ll come to appreciate the Tigers’ amazing run in time.
