Saturday could settle the debate: Who is “DBU”?
Both LSU and Florida have staked claim to the moniker, and the personnel taking the field this weekend clearly represents why.
For LSU, there is Jamal Adams, Tre’Davious White and Dwayne Thomas.
For Florida: Jalen ‘Teez’ Tabor and Quincy Wilson. Also safety Marcus Maye, who will miss the rest of the 2016 season after breaking a bone in his left arm against South Carolina.
Out of the talent listed above, who is the most impressive defensive back?
NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah asked that question to five NFL executives, who answered the question under anonymity.
Of the five executives who were polled, three voted for Adams, one for White and one for Wilson.
- On Adams from one executive… “Adams is one of my favorite players in the country. He can play high, low or cover in the slot. He’s the ideal safety.”
- On White… “White is a more complete player than (Florida’s Teez) Tabor. I like (Jamal) Adams but I need to do more work on him. White has all of the tools: size, speed and ball skills.”
- On Wilson… “I think Wilson is the best corner in the country. (Teez) Tabor gets all of the hype but Wilson is better in every area.”
