The 2017 Women’s Final Four will see the “Cinderella” of this year’s tournament play the most dominant basketball program in the country as the Mississippi State Bulldogs play Connecticut in the second game in Dallas.
The Bulldogs are appearing in the first Final Four in school history after knocking off Baylor in overtime. Connecticut, on the other hand, steam-rolled the competition as the Huskies have won each game in the NCAA Tournament by at least 15 points. Led by coach Geno Auriemma, the Huskies are looking to win their fifth consecutive championship.

10:02 p.m. ET. The game is the second game of the night, and it will begin 30 minutes after the South Carolina-Stanford game.

The Huskies have won 111 consecutive games and are led by a bevy of talented players. Katie Lou Samuelson and Napheesa Collins both average more than 20 points per game. Kia Nurse and Gabby Williams both average more than 10 points per game. Collins and Williams also averaged more than 8.0 rebounds per game, while Samuelson makes 42 percent of her shots from 3-point range.
But the Bulldogs are no slouch. They are 33-4 and finished second in the SEC behind South Carolina. The Gamecocks have double-digit scorers in Victoria Vivans and Morgan William. William had a huge game against Baylor, as she had 41 points and 7 assists while having no turnovers.
Connecticut ended the Bulldogs’ season last year in the Sweet 16, as the Huskies won 98-32. The winner of this game will take on Stanford and South Carolina on Sunday night. The games will be played in the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
