Mississippi State received an in-state commitment on Wednesday, and it was a big one — literally.
2018 offensive lineman Kwatrivous Johnson committed to play for the Bulldogs and head coach Dan Mullen, according to Demetric Warren of varsitypreps.com.

Johnson, who plays at Greenwood High School (Miss.), is listed at 6-foot-9, 345 pounds, according to his 247sports profile. He had also been recruited by Iowa and Memphis, but Mississippi State appeared to be the front-runner to land the big offensive tackle.
Playing on both sides of the football, Johnson helped Greenwood go 8-4 this past season. Prior to playing his junior season there, Johnson’s high-school career began at Delta Streets Academy, where he played 8-man football.
Johnson received an offer from Mississippi State in late November, and has now committed to the school less than two months later.
