Now this is something you’ve probably never seen before. One Mississippi State player’s spring game came to an unexpectedly early end on Saturday, as safety Jonathan Abram, a junior college transfer, delivered a crushing hit to his teammate, running back Bennie Braswell:

Braswell, a junior, was on the ground for several minutes and had to be helped off the field.
One of the top JUCO safeties in the Class of 2017, Abram likely will be in line for some discipline from the team in the immediate future. But that may pale in comparison to what he’ll face in the locker room, where he’ll have to explain to his teammates what happened.
