Prior to Sunday night’s Cowboys-Eagles game, host Mike Tirico spoke of the looming quarterback controversy between Dak Prescott and Tony Romo.
Prescott has led Dallas to five straight wins, but you can make the case for Romo to return given his veteran status. It all depends on the direction the Cowboys want to take their franchise.
Of course, Romo isn’t completely healthy yet, but owner Jerry Jones dropped some thinking on Tirico that might hint at Dallas’ future choice under center.
So Mike Tirico reports Jerry Jones told him of the upcoming QB decision: "When you have the hot hand, you have to ride it."

A “hot hand” comment certainly would mean the rookie Prescott is the man for the job if he doesn’t completely embarrass himself against the Eagles. The former Mississippi State quarterback has a 68.7 completion percentage with 7 passing touchdowns and just 1 interception while throwing for 1,486 yards.
In Starkville, he passed for more than 9,000 yards and 70 touchdowns, possibly hinting at his NFL potential when given the chance.
