Dak Prescott’s rise to NFL stardom has been quite surprising.
After a stellar career at Mississippi State, Prescott was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Most thought he would back up Tony Romo this year. But after Romo went down with an injury, Prescott was thrust into the starting role.
Prescott has led the Cowboys to a 4-1 start and are leading the NFC East. Prescott has yet to throw an interception this year and has sparked numerous debates about whether he or Romo should start when Romo comes back.
Prescott has become such a big story, that he is on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

This isn’t the first time Prescott has appeared on the cover of the magazine. In his time at Mississippi State, Prescott appeared on the cover of the magazine twice. Mississippi State has struggled to replace Prescott, as the Bulldogs lost 38-14 to Auburn, a team that Prescott beat in his last two years in school.
Prescott and the Cowboys take on the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Mississippi State takes on BYU on Friday night on ESPN at 10:15 p.m. ET.
