Dak PrescottMania has reached a fever pitch this preseason. If the former Mississippi State quarterback’s exploits on the field for the Dallas Cowboys weren’t enough, now you’ll be able to chow down on a bunch of beef named in his honor.
Meet the Dakburger, which will be served at a Dallas-area chain called Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar. This beast will be released when the Cowboys open the regular season against the New York Giants on Sept. 11 at AT&T Stadium.
As described by Avi Zaleon of the Dallas Morning News, the Dakburger will feature Applewood-smoked bacon strips, Hickory BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese and red onions on a poppy seed bun. The price: $7.79.
Here’s more from Tim Schroder, Snuffer’s vice president of operations services, from a release via Zaleon’s piece:
“The Dakburger has performed surprisingly well in limited testing, but we were planning to keep tweaking it in the kitchen for another year or so before rolling it out to compete alongside the veteran burgers on our menu,” Schroder said. “We hope the Dakburger will become an immediate star and carry our menu for the next 10 years. Or at least the next six to 10 weeks.”
Obviously, Prescott has made it big with this development.
What’s next? A steak?
