ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer is ready to fire up Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott’s Heisman campaign.
“I think it’s time we start to put his name back in the Heisman discussion,” the former Florida quarterback said of the Bulldogs’ senior quarterback.
With Prescott at the helm, the Bulldogs took control in the third quarter, leading Missouri 31-13. Prescott has completed 24-of-35 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns. He has run for 34 yards on 13 carries.
“Against a very, very good defense tonight, he’s putting up outstanding numbers,” Palmer said.
Prescott can continue to impress against top competition. Mississippi State hosts Alabama, plays at Arkansas and hosts Ole Miss to close the regular season.
“He’s got a chance,” Palmer said, “to make some big time noise against some very good teams in the month of November.”
