Jiles will have one year of eligibility at Wake Forest, and should be able to play right away in 2017. The veteran defensive back announced back in January that he was leaving the Mississippi State program after being granted a sixth year of eligibility due to injuries sustained during his time with the Bulldogs.
Jiles played in nine games for the Bulldogs in 2016, and appeared in 35 total games for Mississippi State in a career that began in 2012. He recorded 31 total tackles last season and returned an interception 74 yards for a touchdown.
Wake Forest finished the 2016 season with a 7-6 record, which was good for fourth in the ACC Atlantic division. The Demon Deacons beat Temple 34-26 to cap of the season with a victory in the Military Bowl.
