A typical rite of passage for most college quarterbacks who declare for the NFL Draft is an appearance in ESPN analyst Jon Gruden’s QB Camp. Former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott got the full treatment this week.
After discussing his DUI and other subjects with Gruden in the film room, Prescott worked out in front of a candid Gruden on Monday. Gruden emphasized improving Prescott’s footwork in the pocket and discussed the importance of “mental gymnastics” during the workout.
Another aspect Gruden grilled Prescott on was his communication and vocality on the field, especially after one of Prescott’s wide receivers jumped offsides on a hard count.
Gruden even gave Prescott a dose of his own medicine, bringing in some cowbells to try and rankle Prescott during the conclusion of the workout. Prescott wasn’t phased, however, and completed the workout with flying colors.
