One new Mississippi State commit’s family won’t have to travel far to see him play college ball.
Kobe Jones, a four-star defensive tackle from Starkville High School (Starkville, Miss.) has officially signed to play with the Bulldogs.
Jones is a 6-foot-4, 265-pound recruit listed as the No. 28 defensive tackle in the nation, and the 10th-best player in Mississippi.
Jones chose the Bulldogs over offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, Missouri and Miami among others. He took unofficial visits to Starkville in September, October and November before his official visit in mid-January.
