Apparently, former Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott had a big-time backer even before he step foot in Dallas.
As relayed by Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin, a Hall of Famer, had high praise for the young signal-caller when speaking on The Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday.
In fact, Irvin was a big believer in Prescott from the start.
Michael Irvin on @dpshow discussing Dak Prescott: "I thought he was the best quarterback in the draft. I told Jerry that. I love this kid."

That prediction from Irvin to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones looks mighty fine now. Prescott leads the NFL with 454 yards passing through three preseason games. He has thrown five touchdowns and no interceptions. He also has two rushing scores.
What will come of Prescott? Who knows? But he has impressed in a big way, perhaps even more than the Cowboys expected when they selected him in the fourth round in April.
