Count Mississippi State among the SEC schools that are helping South Carolina during its time of need.
Mississippi State Athletics is urging its fans to donate supplies this week to help South Carolina residents who are dealing with the fallout from recent devastating floods, according to hailstate.com.
The Bulldogs athletic department has specifically asked for Mississippi residents to donate toilet paper, paper towels, moist wipes, antibacterial wipes and plastic flatware.
South Carolina’s home game was moved to LSU Saturday, but the Tigers have done everything they can to make the Gamecocks feel at home. The LSU band learned the South Carolina fight song and also loaned a charter plane to the Gamecocks. It is great to see Mississippi State joining the effort to help South Carolina in anyway it can.
UPDATE: As pointed out by our wonderful Facebook readers, Ole Miss has also organized a supply drive for the state’s flooding victims, according to wtva.com.
