Mississippi State added three members to its 2017 class on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs signed 4-star point guard Nick Weatherspoon, 4-star power forward Garrison Brooks and 3-star forward KeyShawn Feazell, the team announced via Twitter.
Nick Weatherspoon, brother of Mississippi State sophomore Quinndary Weatherspoon, is the most highly-recruited prospect of the bunch. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 27 overall player, the country’s No. 5 point guard and the state of Mississippi’s No. 1 prospect.
He received offers from 14 programs, including North Carolina, Kansas, Indiana and Georgetown, among others. Nick Weatherspoon committed to the Bulldogs in September.
Brooks, a 6-foot-9 forward from Lafayette, Ala, received a fair share of interest himself, receiving 11 total offers, including Auburn, Georgia and North Carolina. He is rated as the nation’s No. 29 power forward and the state of Alabama’s No. 4 overall prospect.
Feazell is the final piece to the Bulldogs’ 2017 class. He stands at 6-feet, 9-inches and is ranked as the nation’s No. 54 power forward and the state of Mississippi’s No. 4 overall prospect. He chose Mississippi State over six other offers.
The Bulldogs’ 2017 class currently ranks as the SEC’s third-best recruiting class and the nation’s No. 17 unit.
