Mississippi State falls out of the AP Top 25 Poll
After a 31-6 loss against Alabama, it was bound to happen. Though it climbed to No. 20 in last week’s Associated Press Top 25 Poll, Mississippi State has fallen out of the latest rankings.
The Bulldogs have seesawed in and out of the rankings this year, first entering the AP Poll at No. 21 after beating Auburn in Week 4. But the next week, Mississippi State found itself unranked after losing at Texas A&M.
After a convincing win at Missouri last week, Mississippi State jumped from No. 24 to No. 20 in advance of the Alabama matchup.
But on Saturday, the Crimson Tide found all the holes in the Bulldogs’ game and exploited them for a blowout win, and the latest poll reflected MSU’s performance.
