Mississippi State OL Darryl Williams was on the turf at Commonwealth Stadium for more than 10 minutes before being taken away via stretcher on Saturday night.
It was a scary scene, which brought Mississippi State and Kentucky players together as they rallied around the young offensive lineman in hopes that his apparent injury was not of the serious variety.
Shortly after removing Williams from the field via stretcher, Mississippi State issued an official statement on the condition of Williams:
Darryl Williams is being transported to UK Chandler Hospital for further evaluation. He has movement in all of his extremities.

While he is hardly out of the woods and we’re certainly in no place to speculate on potential injuries, the fact that the school is able to report movement in all of his extremities is encouraging news.
The game has continued in Lexington, with the Bulldogs trailing Kentucky 20-17 in the third quarter.
