Mississippi State jumps up a spot in SEC Country Power Rankings
A convincing 31-13 win at Missouri on Thursday was enough to bump Mississippi State up to the No. 4 spot in the latest SEC Country Power Poll.
The Bulldogs switched places in the poll with Ole Miss, which fell to Arkansas 53-52 after the Razorbacks converted a miracle fourth down that extended a game-winning touchdown drive in overtime.
In the Power Poll, Alabama (No. 1), LSU (No. 2), and Florida (No. 3) are still ahead of Mississippi State, while this week’s AP Poll saw MSU jump from No. 24 to No. 20.
The Bulldogs host ‘Bama (No. 3 in the AP Poll) on Saturday, and while any talk of a playoff run is mostly out of the question, a win against the favored Tide would certainly help Mississippi State’s bowl possibilities.
Here are the Power Poll results for Week 11:
|4||Mississippi State (7-2)||162||0||4||7||5|
|10||Texas A&M (6-3)||84||0||6||13||6|
|12||South Carolina (3-6)||28||0||11||14||12|
