Izuchukwu will bring size (6-foot-4, 230 pounds), speed and athleticism to Starkville. Adding him will provide a huge boost to a Bulldogs defense that finished in the SEC’s top 3.
The edge rusher from Davidson Academy (Nashville, Tenn.) is the seventh commitment of the 2019 class, which now sits at No. 15 in the country, per 247Sports. Izuchukwu is the No. 14 weakside defensive end and No. 237 overall player, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Charles Moore, another 4-star defensive end who is State’s top-rated commitment (No. 84 overall), is expected to team up with Izuchukwu to give the Bulldogs a dynamic set of bookends for the future.
