Mississippi State didn’t have to look very far for its latest commitment. Dan Mullen and company were able to scoop up a player right in their own backyard.
2018 wide receiver prospect Cameron Gardner announced on Friday that he would be committing to Mississippi State.
After talking with my family and coaches, I've decided to commit to Mississippi State #HailState ??

Gardner is from Starkville, Miss. He is listed at a huge 6-foot-4 and does not yet have a star ranking from 247Sports Composite ranking.
With Gardner’s commitment, Mississippi State now has six commitments for the 2018 class. Gardner is the third wide receiver to join the class. The Bulldogs’ highest rated commit for the 2018 class is 4-star WR Malik Heath.
Mullen brought in the No. 24 recruiting class for the 2017 cycle, led by 4-star linebacker Willie Gay. The Bulldogs went 6-7 last year.
