Dan Mullen and Mississippi State received good news on Friday heading into the final weekend of the 2017 recruiting cycle. And it comes from the same high school as Dak Prescott.
The Bulldogs landed a commitment from 6-foot-7 offensive lineman Josh Cooper, a native of Haughton La. Cooper’s commitment gives the Bulldogs 21 commitments for the 2017 recruiting cycle.
Cooper, like Prescott, played football for Haughton High School.

Cooper is unranked by the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is the sixth offensive lineman to join the 2017 Mississippi State class. Before Cooper’s addition, the Bulldogs had the No. 27 class in the country, which ranked 9th in the SEC.
A Louisiana lineman, Cooper took an official visit to Mississippi State last week. National Signing Day is on Wednesday.
