A day after landing a commitment for the 2018 recruiting class, the Bulldogs lose a different member of the same class.
Jemaruian Jones, an unranked defensive back out of Brookhaven, Miss., announced via Twitter that he would be de-committing from the Bulldogs and reopening his commitment. At the time, the only other SEC school to offer Jones is Ole Miss, which does not have a single commitment in its 2018 class.

With the loss of Jones, Mississippi State now has just six commits in the 2018 class. The top Mississippi State commit at the moment is 4-star WR Malik Heath. The Bulldogs concluded their spring football season with their Maroon and White game on Saturday.
