Mississippi State’s newest commitment is planning on double duty in Starkville, Miss.
Zach Farrar from Southlake (Texas) Carroll High School committed to the Bulldogs on Thursday afternoon. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver stated via Twitter that he intends to play football and baseball at Mississippi State. The Bulldogs’ agreement to allow him to attempt both sports is thought to be a significant factor in Farrar’s decision.

The three-star prospect had several scholarship offers, but took only one other official visit outside of Mississippi State, which was to Washington in December. He showed some interest in Oklahoma State, where he took an unofficial visit in November.
Farrar is the 15th commitment in Mississippi State’s 2016 class. He is the No. 124 receiver in the nation and the No. 108 overall prospect in Texas.
