Welcome to More Cowbell, SEC Country’s daily podcast about Mississippi State sports with host Brandon Walker.
Mississippi State linebacker Leo Lewis, a rising junior from Brookhaven, was arrested Thursday night and charged with a misdemeanor. The consequences for Mississippi State and Lewis likely won’t amount to much, but the celebration in Oxford was incredible anyway. Formerly the NCAA’s star witness against Ole Miss in the Rebels’ cheating scandal, Lewis sparks plenty of emotions from Ole Miss fans, and that was on full display this past weekend.
Elsewhere, MSU baseball went to Alabama and brought home a needed series win. With two SEC weekends remaining, the Bulldogs are in good shape to make a regional, a testament to this team’s ability to scratch and claw after starting the season on a sour note.
