Welcome to More Cowbell, SEC Country’s daily podcast about Mississippi State sports with host Brandon Walker.
Mississippi State has its most talented team in years for 2018, with an All-SEC quarterback, All-SEC defensive tackle and depth across the board. But one position that needed an immediate injection of talent might not get it, as a talented wide receiver posted an interesting tweet on Monday. Stephen Guidry, MSU’s 4-star WR signee out of Hinds Community College, tweeted his intent to sit out the fall semester and enroll in the spring, which is counter to everything MSU needs at the position.
We take a look at what Guidry posted and social media and what it might mean for MSU this season. We also take a look at Moorhead’s approach to the passing game and how it could be affected if Guidry does sit out.
