Mississippi State received a commitment from Georgia safety Tyrese Ross on Friday.
The 3-star prospect out of Westlake High in Atlanta announced his decision to join Dan Mullen’s program via Twitter:

At 6-foot and 180 pounds, Ross is projected as a safety at the next level. He rates as the No. 88 safety in the country and No. 107 player out of the state of Georgia according to the 247Sports composite rankings for the Class of 2018.
Ross also had offers from Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Michigan State and UCLA, among others.
Ross becomes the 13th commitment for Mullen’s 2018 recruiting class. Prior to the commitment, the Bulldogs class ranked No. 7 in the SEC and No. 38 nationally.
