Todd Grantham was officially announced as Mississippi State’s new defensive coordinator on Wednesday, and he was introduced to Bulldog Nation on Saturday.
The new defensive play-caller was in attendance at Mississippi State’s basketball game against Texas A&M, where he was welcomed by a roaring cheer at halftime.
Grantham spent the last three seasons as Louisville’s defensive coordinator under coach Bobby Petrino. He will replace ex-defensive coordinator Peter Sirmon, who will assume Grantham’s old role with the Cardinals.
The new Mississippi State coach worked as the Georgia defensive coordinator from 2010-13. He will inherit a Bulldogs defense that ranked 13th in the SEC in points allowed per game and 12th in total defense.
