According to a report from Mississippi State beat reporter Logan Lowery, Jiles was granted a sixth year of eligibility after multiple injuries during his time with Mississippi State.
It appears as though he intends to utilize that final season elsewhere after completing his spring semester in Starkville.
Jiles played in nine games for the Bulldogs in 2016, and appeared in 35 total games for Mississippi State in a career that began in 2012.
Jiles recorded 31 total tackles last season and returned an interception 74 yards for a touchdown.
