Mississippi State is expected to receive a late addition to its 2016 class on Wednesday as wide receiver Osirus Mitchell will commit to the Bulldogs, according to a report from Scout.com’s Steve Robertson.
The Sarasota, Fla., native visited Starkville, Miss., on May 17. Mitchell had received six reported offers from Minnesota, Wake Forest, USF, Alabama State, Coppin State and Delaware State, according to 247Sports.com. Mitchell did not receive a scholarship offer from Mississippi State, per 247Sports, so it’s unclear whether his commitment would count against the Bulldogs’ scholarship allotment.
Mitchell will make it 19 signees for Mississippi State in its Class of 2016. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound wideout is expected to join the Bulldogs for their second summer session, according to The Clarion-Ledger’s Will Sammon.
