Mississippi State recruiting assistant Rod Gibson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Saturday morning, according to The Clarion-Ledger’s Michael Bonner.
The arrest occurred on Highway 182 at 1:27 a.m. on Saturday, per Bonner. Gibson, who played running back for the Bulldogs from 1998-99, spent the 2015 coaching at Copiah-Lincoln Community College where he helped lead the to a 7-2 record.
He previously spent 12 seasons as a member of Mississippi Delta Community College (2003-14), and was hired by Mississippi State in February.
The DUI is the first on Gibson’s record, according to Bonner.
