Mississippi State wide receiver Fred Brown has been dismissed from the university for violating the university’s student honor code, as reported by The Clarion-Ledger’s Michael Bonner.
There were no further details regarding the senior wideout’s dismissal. Brown was the Bulldogs’ third-leading receiver in 2015, catching 27 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns last season. He was one of two seniors in a relatively inexperienced wide receiver group that featured only three upperclassmen and three freshmen.
He missed MSU’s scrimmage last weekend due to what coach Dan Mullen described as a family matter. More updates will be provided as details emerge.
