The Coaches All-SEC Teams were announced Tuesday, and for the second straight year, Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott was the best at his position.
Prescott, and wide receiver Fred Ross, were selected to the First-Team, while wide receiver De’Runnya Wilson made the Second-Team.
Prescott was one of just nine players to be selected as a repeat honoree. Neither Ross nor Wilson had placed on either team before.
Prescott was second in the conference behind Ole Miss’ Chad Kelly with 284.4 yards per game passing and was third behind Kelly and Arkansas’ Brandon Allen with 25 passing touchdowns. Prescott led all quarterbacks with 10 rushing touchdowns — only six running backs in the conference had more.
Ross was third in the SEC with 77.8 receiving yards per game and Wilson was second in the conference with nine receiving touchdowns.
Ross and Wilson are both juniors, while Prescott is a senior. All three might play in their final games as Bulldogs when Mississippi State travels to Charlotte, N.C. to take on the NC State Wolfpack in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 30.
