Dak Prescott has been all the rage this season.
The former Mississippi State quarterback has impressed with the Dallas Cowboys this fall, throwing for 1,773 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions in Dallas’ 6-1 start. The rookie has exceeded expectations as a fourth-round pick, and it has been amazing to see his progression this year.
As part of its coverage Sunday, ESPN aired a feature on Prescott in which voices from the quarterback’s past spoke about his upbringing in Louisiana and his career as a budding star at Haughton High School.
“Family for Dak Prescott has pretty much always been tied to football,” ESPN’s Jade McCarthy said to begin the feature.

This is a great look into Prescott’s past. It’s easy to see why he has been so successful, given the lessons he gained early.
It will be fascinating to see if Prescott can continue his momentum as a professional. Defenses should adjust to him in time. But if this year is a reliable indicator, the quarterback has what it takes to evolve and thrive in the NFL.
