Here’s a way to slay an opponent.
Former Mississippi State cornerback Darius Slay, now with the Detroit Lions, made a sweet interception of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz late in the fourth quarter to clinch the Lions’ 24-23 victory Sunday. The Bulldogs’ Twitter account was quick to offer congratulations after the play.

"He's the real deal, but he shouldn't have thrown that ball. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was time for his first career pick." – Slay

Slay, in his fourth NFL season, had no interceptions this season before Sunday and only 4 for his professional career. The Lions, who improved to 2-3, took him in the second round of the 2013 draft.
