When Mississippi State’s Morgan William hit the shot heard ’round the world to eliminate UConn, the internet went into a frenzy. The enthusiasm for what’s being deemed an instant classic even extended to the broadcast booth.
ESPN’s Kara Lawson posted an awesome video of the reaction to William’s dagger from herself, Dave O’Brien and Doris Burke.

This is why broadcasters love this time of year. Being able to capture an unforgettable moment such as that provides the kind of adrenaline rush that March Madness is all about for not only fans but media members as well.
O’Brien, after giving the shot a few seconds to marinate, put it in proper perspective: ”One of the great upsets in history”. Lawson is so stunned that she leans back in her chair. Burke’s expression might be the best, though. She was so amazed that her jaw literally dropped.
This was definitely one of those “Where were you when it happened?” moments. Lawson, O’Brien and Burke had some of the best seats to witness a contest that will be talked about for quite some time.
Mississippi State will face SEC rival South Carolina in the women’s national championship on Sunday at 6 p.m. from Dallas.
