Mississippi State baseball just keeps fighting.
The Bulldogs trailed for most of the afternoon on Saturday against host Florida State, but they staved off elimination thanks to a walk-off home run by Elijah MacNamee.

And just like that, the No. 7 Seminoles are out of the NCAA Tournament. Mississippi State will face the loser of the Saturday night game between Oklahoma and Samford. Mississippi State lost to the Sooners 20-10 on Friday.
Florida State left-hander Drew Parrish dominated for most of the afternoon, but a 2-hour rain delay interrupted what could have been a complete-game shutout to knock the Bulldogs out of the tournament.
But even after 8 innings and 109 pitches, Florida State brought Parrish back out for the ninth to try to finish things off. That turned out to be a regrettable decision.
MacNamee had 2 of Mississippi State’s 4 hits against Parrish. Hunter Stovall and Jake Mangum both scored on MacNamee’s home run.
Mississippi State must win its next three games — including two over Oklahoma or Samford — to advance to the Super Regionals next week.
