We all know there’s risk involved when standing near the sideline during live football action. One reporter found out the hard way how painful his job can be.
Check out the clip below from late in Mississippi State’s 28-21 double-overtime loss to BYU on Friday. Cougars defensive back Dayan Lake tumbled into the reporter when defending a pass in the end zone. The reporter crashed on his back during the sequence, and it didn’t look pretty.

Fortunately, all appeared well in the aftermath. Rebecca Cade of FOX 13 News in Salt Lake City tweeted a picture of the reporter, Dave, and passed along that he was OK.

The reporter even had some fun with the moment.
Anything for the shot. It hurt, but not as much as shooting that 1st half. https://t.co/ZhOrxkLdfo
