Amid the fallout of the Hugh Freeze scandal at Ole Miss, the Rebels lost another commitment in the Class of 2018 on Sunday night.
3-star guard Blaine Scott announced his decision to reopen his commitment on Twitter. Scott cited the recent events at Ole Miss as the reason, but stated that the Rebels will still be one of his top school choices.

Scott isn’t the first Ole Miss commit to reopen his recruitment since Freeze resigned, leaving the program with some unanswered questions moving forward. The Rebels also lost 3-star cornerback Jaylin Williams recently, as well as 2019 cornerback Bobby Wolfe.
Scott, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, is the No. 17 offensive guard recruit in the 2018 class, according to the 247sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 19 recruit from Ohio.
Scott had been committed to Ole Miss since early May. He also holds offers from West Virginia and Duke, atop a long list of others.
